Miranda Loses Childhood Friend to a Roadside Crash

She reschedules Feb. 3 show in Florida to go to the funeral of Mark “Tex” Adams.

Miranda Lambert has rescheduled her concert Friday (Feb. 3) so she can go to the funeral of a longtime friend who was killed last week.

That friend, Mark "Tex" Adams, died while helping a motorist stranded on the side of the road in Florida, Miranda's publicists said in a statement.

A car drifted off the road onto the shoulder and hit two cars and killed Adams, the release said. No one else was killed in the crash.

That death comes just a week or so after Miranda's father-in-law, Dick Shelton, passed away.

Miranda tweeted late last week, “I have lost a friend I’ve had since 3rd grade today in a tragic accident. When will this pain end. Please pray for peace.”
