Miranda Lambert Tells Her Story on GAC

Miranda Lambert's life wasn't always about hit records, awards and glamorous tours. During her youth in Texas, Miranda's family suffered a series of financial problems and other difficulties. Miranda wrote songs and performed at an early age, and those formative experiences eventually paid off.

In a new episode of GAC's Backstory series, Backstory: Miranda Lambert, Miranda talks about overcoming those tough times, her marriage to fellow star Blake Shelton and a variety of other topics. The program also presents several highlights from her career. Backstory: Miranda Lambert has premiered on GAC and will re-air on these dates and times: Feb. 9 at 9 p.m. ET, Feb. 10 at 6 p.m. ET and Feb. 16 at 10 p.m. ET.

In other Miranda news, the singer has announced that she'll be teaming with the Pedigree dog food brand to help find loving homes for more shelter dogs. The program willl search for the next communities to benefit from the Pedigree Feeding Project, an initiative started in Nashville and Chicago that supplies participating shelters with 100 percent of their core dog food needs, at absolutely no cost.

"I'm amazed every day by the unconditional love I receive from all of my adopted dogs. That's why it means so much to me to partner with Pedigree, a brand that truly believes in finding dogs loving homes as much as I do," Miranda said about the program. "Pedigree knows that there are so many communities that have an abundance of homeless dogs, and together we want to help."
