Miranda Lambert: “Divorce Is Not an Option”

It was so awesome to see Miranda Lambert and her hubby, Blake Shelton, standing at a podium together (again) Sunday night (April 7) to get a songwriting award for “Over You.”

Afterward, Miranda told reporters that she and Blake will be standing together forever.

“You know, it’s not easy all the time being on opposite sides of the country and, you know, travelling and all that,” she said. “But when you get to celebrate moments like this together and when you go through the hard stuff together, those are the moments that actually count. All the rest is fluff.”

Miranda says their marriage will outlast those career highs.

“Like I always say, my mom said to my dad, ‘Divorce is not an option.’ So, we really love each other and have a real marriage outside of all of this,” she said.

“When this is all said and done we will be drinking a beer together on a front porch somewhere, reminiscing about the good old days, and that’s what I’m happy about.”

Also, if the “Mama’s Broken Heart” video (below) is any indication, breaking up with Miranda might be a terrifying ordeal.
