Police have cleared Miranda Lambert of charges that she assaulted a woman at a nightclub last week.

Aisha Esbay, who said the singer twice shoved her during a CD-release party at Bootlegger's in Tyler, Texas, has herself been charged with filing a false police report in the incident. “Her story did not check out,” Smith County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Larry Wiginton told a local newspaper. “She and her mother are the only ones who saw it that way. No one else in the establishment, including bartenders and wait staff, corroborated her story.”
