Miranda Lambert Chastises Ottawa Reporter on Twitter

The singer wants to keep the focus on her music.

When Miranda Lambert is out and about promoting her latest album or radio single, she likes to keep her interviews about the music, as a reporter for the Ottawa Citizen newspaper recently found out.

During an interview in advance of her Aug. 12 concert date in Ottawa, apparently questions regarding differing views on guns didn't go over too well with the superstar.

“Dear mr [sic] writer at Ottawa citizen: next time u [sic] interview me, let’s keep it about the music and not about your view on my stance on guns,” Miranda tweeted after the interview. “I don’t talk politics period. I’m Not sure all Canadians would like to Be put in your category. Speak for yourself not your country. Thx!”

She did go on to reassure her Canadian fans that she’s still feeling the love for them. “PS I can’t wait to see my faithful Ottawa fans! 2 weeks!” Miranda posted.
