Miranda Gives Taylor Big Compliment

It took a few tries, but Miranda Lambert—a noted songwriter herself—eventually gushed via Twitter about Taylor Swift’s lyrics for Tay-lo’s new hit, “Mine.”

“Just watched the video for ‘mine’. Taylor is a freaking great songwriter,”

Miranda tweeted Friday (Aug. 27) night.

“Careless man’s careless daughter is a great line! Good job girl.”

Then, this series of tweets from Miranda:

“Ooops careful daughter. Eaither way....I think she can turn a phrase better than most:)”

“Either.”

“I hate it when my fingers are faster than my brain. (Blake . . . shut up . . . :)”

Taylor enjoyed the feedback and shot Miranda back a compliment of her own on Miranda’s new video for “Only Prettier,” which also stars Kellie Pickler, as well as Laura Bell Bundy and Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott.

Taylor tweeted:

“@Miranda_lambert your tweet made me smile so big! I'm so stoked that you like that lyric!! I was full on giggling watching your new video :)"
