Did you see where Miranda Lambert, via Twitter, objected to R&B star Chris Brown performing twice at this year's Grammy awards?

"I don't get it. He beat on a girl," Miranda tweeted, referring to how Brown was arrested three years ago for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna on the eve of that year's Grammys.

"Not cool that we act like that didn't happen," Miranda continued. "He needs to listen to Gunpowder and lead and be put back in his place. Not at the Grammys."

The country star wasn't the only one who thought Brown's Grammy appearance was offensive. There was a strong backlash on Twitter, with the term "WomanBeater" trending Sunday night.

Brown himself posted: "" But that tweet was later removed.

Miranda replied to that Wednesday night (Feb. 15): "Oh and one more thing for all who are asking . . . I have a Grammy too:)"

As for the Grammy folks themselves, executive producer Ken Ehrlich said, “I think people deserve a second chance, you know. If you'll note, he has not been on the Grammys for the past few years.”
