Miranda: Blake’s Big-Time Stardom Can Make Things Tough

“Now that he’s this big network television star, things have changed,” she says.

Sure, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton have been big-time country stars for a couple of years now.

But it's Blake's gig on NBC's The Voice that's making it tough for the country couple to walk down the street sometimes, Miranda tells the country music news blog Country Music Is Love.

"I've learned that with even Blake, with the last time we were in New York City. We couldn't even walk five feet, and that's New York City, and that's not a country mecca," Miranda told the website.

"Now that he’s this big network television star, things have changed, and we are exactly the same people we always were," she said.

"We are, like, so down to earth and do not care about ‘the scene’ or havin’ this certain famous image, but then there’s this part that you are a star and that’s how people perceive you, so you have to always carry yourself that way.”

Things could get tougher for Miranda, too: She's going to be an advisor to Team Blake this season on The Voice.
