Miranda Announces “Paws” Event

Miranda Lambert will hold her second annual "Cause for the Paws" event, benefitting the Humane Society of East Texas, May 17 in Tyler, Texas.

"Cause for the Paws" brings together fans and friends for an evening of great music, wine tasting and delicious food in the setting of Villa di Felicita in Tyler. The 2008 event raised more than $113,000 to help abused and neglected animals in the East Texas region. "I was completely surprised when they announced the total amount raised at last year's event," says Miranda. "I can't begin to express my thanks to the committee, the volunteers and those who attended and all those who donated for making my first charity effort a huge success. The shelter, which is run entirely on donations, was able to make great improvements and create better living conditions for the abandoned and abused animals of East Texas. I cannot wait to see what we can make happen for them this year." Tickets go on sale beginning March 1. For more information, visit mirandalambert.com.
