The Steele and Cyrus families have been close for several years. Miley recorded Jeffrey’s “Simple Song” on her current hit album while dad Billy Ray cut “Flyin’ By” for his CD. Miley surprised Jeffrey last year when she joined him on stage for a live version of “Simple Song” during a tribute show for Jeffrey’s late son. Jeffrey has written such hits as “What Hurts the Most” by Rascal Flatts, Montgomery Gentry’s “My Town” and several others. Bolt is slated to premiere in theaters Nov. 21.
