Meet CW’s Cancun Contest Winners!

"It was the best Christmas gift!" Patrick Morrison said of hearing the news on Dec. 24 that he and his wife, Rosanne, were the lucky winners of Republic Nashville and Country Weekly's "Get Your Shine On in Cancun" sweepstakes, a six-day, five-night trip to the Hard Rock Hotel in Cancun, Mexico, where Florida Georgia Line was filming the video for their new single, "Get Your Shine On."

Surrounded by their children and grandchildren over the Christmas holidays, the Rockford, Ill., couple were in disbelief. In fact, standing atop the balcony of the Rock Star Suite of the Hard Rock Hotel for a special winners party, Patrick and Rosanne still couldn't believe they had won. "It's amazing," Rosanne, a regular Country Weekly reader, said. "I found the contest on CountryWeekly.com and I liked the songs of Florida Georgia Line, so I figured I'd enter." She never thought she and her husband would win.

After observing FGL's Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard film the "Get Your Shine On" video over the course of two days, Patrick was impressed by the guys' tireless work ethic and the professionalism of the entire production and record-label team. "The guys are really entertainers," he said. "These people just go nonstop."

Making the vacation even more special for the Morrisons was that it came on the heels of Rosanne's birthday—and after her receiving some encouraging words about her elderly mother, who was stricken by a mild heart attack and hospitalized shortly after the couple learned they had won. "She's doing OK," Rosanne said of her mom. "She's been in the hospital before, and when she's released she's back to normal."

Nonetheless, Country Weekly wishes Rosanne's mother a speedy recovery and congratulates the Morrisons on their big win.
