Maryland’s Maggie Rose Seeks Southern Favorite for Tailgating Treat

Bourbon and…boiled peanuts?

She’s a pretty little thing who admits to not knowing all the rules and regulations for a gridiron showdown, but she’s got it going on when it comes to tailgating treats. Just don’t expect her to cook anything.

The Maryland native, who went to school at Clemson in South Carolina, says she can’t tailgate without bourbon and boiled peanuts. But as far as wings, barbecue or potato skins? “People would not be happy with what I made,” she confesses. “I’m a great bartender at a tailgate, but I’m not even going to try to think of something I could make. But I can pick out some great dips and hummus. And I will be very generous and bring as many chips as you want and make you a great drink, but I cannot cook.”

Cool. But, Maggie? The recipe for boiled peanuts is: peanuts, water and salt.

Never mind, just bring the dip.
