MARTINA'S "GREATEST HITS" TO HELP RED CROSS

Martina McBride's album, "Greatest Hits" arrives in stores today. For the next month, a portion of the proceeds from the album will be donated to the American Red Cross.

McBride expects to make a donation of approximately $50,000 to the organization from her album.

Coincidentally, on the cover of the CD, Martina is wearing a shirt with the American flag on it -- the picture was taken months ago.

"When I put the shirt on, my thought was a sense of pride, but it was also a nod to 'Independence Day,'" said McBride. "When I saw the package and how it does look patriotic, it made me proud. Obviously now, with everything else that has happened, it takes on a new meaning."
