Martina to Take Train Trip to Plug New Album

She’ll go coast to coast, hitting 11 cities in four days to promote her new album, Eleven.

How do you plug an upcoming album named Eleven?

If you're Martina McBride, you take a train across the country and make 11 whistle stops.

“I’m taking a train trip! Something I’ve always wanted to do,” Martina tweeted.

Martina is set to take off in L.A. in October, landing in New York four days later. She’ll do shows in Albuquerque, N.M., Chicago and New York, and Martina will also stop in Flagstaff, Ariz.; Newton, Kan. (she’s a Kansas girl, ya know); Kansas City, Mo.; Cleveland; Pittsburgh; Washington, D.C.; and Philly.

“This album is very special to me, and I wanted to be able to share it with my fans far and wide. I also wanted to do something that has never been done before, and I thought what better way to do that than with a cross-country train ride with Amtrak where we make several stops along the way?” Martina said in a statement. “Eleven stops, to be exact. I'm so excited for this journey across America.”
