Martina McBride, Chris Young Land National Anthem Performances

Martina McBride by John Russell/CMA; Chris Young by Michael Rozman/Warner Bros.

No word if Ricky Bobby will be there, but Chris Young is set to sing the anthem Saturday night (May 4) at NASCAR's Aaron's 312 race at the Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama.

The race airs at 3 p.m. ET on ESPN, and Chris also will play a free infield concert later that night.

The very same day, Martina McBride will be singing the national anthem before the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs. That happens at 5 p.m. ET on NBC.

Country stars often kick off races at Talladega, but the Kentucky Derby uses stars from all musical genres, so this is quite a feather in Martina's cap.

Martina also has performed the national anthem frequently for big NFL games, including several home playoff games for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
