Martina Loves PS22 Cover of “Anyway”

She tweets: “This brought tears 2 my eyes.”

The PS22 Chorus is made up of elementary school students from Public School 22 in Staten Island, New York, and they’ve generated an unbelievable buzz since a teacher started posting videos of the group in 2006.

You might remember the chorus was featured on the last Academy Awards show after co-host Anne Hathaway flew to New York beforehand to invite them to participate.

The chorus’ latest YouTube post has them singing the Martina McBride hit “Anyway”—and Martina loves it.

“This brought tears 2 my eyes,” she tweeted. “Their singing is beautiful. So are the looks on their faces and how much they feel the song.”

The chorus replied, via Twitter: “the kids will be thrilled! so honored...”
