Martina to Kick Off NFL’s Pink Month With Sunday Night Anthem

McBride tapped to sing at Oct. 2 NBC game between the Ravens and the Jets.

You may know that Martina McBride is going to help the Opry with its breast cancer awareness campaign by turning the Opry House pink on Oct. 22. Now Martina has been tapped by the NFL for its breast cancer awareness efforts as well.

She'll sing the national anthem Sunday night, Oct. 2, on NBC, for the Baltimore Ravens-New York Jets game. That's the same day the NFL will go pink. Players wear pink gloves and shoes, the goalposts are pink and cheerleaders are in breast cancer awareness track jackets for the whole month of October.

All this ties in well with Martina's latest single, "I'm Gonna Love You Through It," an anthem for breast cancer survivors and supporters.
