MARTINA IN KANSAS HALL OF FAME

Martina McBride, the native of small town Sharon, Kansas, has given her hometown something more to be proud of—her induction into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame, Saturday, Jan. 13.

The ceremony took place at Liberty Hall in Lawrence, Kansas. Martina and several other inductees were chosen for their significant contributions to the musical history of Kansas. Martina, who is putting the finishing touches on a new album, slated for an April 2007 release, was not able to attend the ceremony.
