Martina Honors Wheldon at Indy 500
After singing the anthem, Martina spends time with Susie Wheldon and Ashley Judd at the race.

Martina McBride gave a nod to crash victim Dan Wheldon by wearing his championship ring at this year's Indy 500 race Sunday (May 27).
Martina sang the national anthem in Indianapolis with the ring that Wheldon won after winning that same race last year. Wheldon died about five months later at a crash at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
After singing the anthem, Martina joined Dan's widow, Susie Wheldon, and actress Ashley Judd, Wynonna's sister and driver Dario Franchitti's wife, in a VIP suite, according to several media reports.
It was a great day for Ashley and Dario—he won his third Indanapolis 500 race.
Also spotted in the crowd Sunday: Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood.
