MARK CHESNUTT TOURS FT. HOOD

Last Friday, Mark Chesnutt took a tour of the Ft. Hood army base in Waco, Texas.

There was some disappointment when the troops were called out to do field maneuvers -- it seems that the landscape around Waco is similar to that of Iraq -- and Mark had to leave to do a show before they came back.

However, the day was not all lost -- Mark got a tour of the tank field, where the tanks are lined up end-to-end for 13 miles, and did a tank simulation, firing off some (imaginary) rounds. Ft. Hood is the same base where Elvis Presley received his basic training when he joined the army in 1958.
