Maggie Rose Earns Local Emmy Nomination

Co-writes and performs NFL’s Washington Redskins theme song

Football season doesn’t start for another few months, but last season helped “Looking Back Now” singer Maggie Rose earn a nomination for a local Emmy Award for co-writing and performing the Washington Redskins theme song.

“Get Ya Game On” was used for Comcast SportsNet’s coverage of the Redskins for their 2013 season. “I am beyond excited to earn an Emmy nomination in my home state of Maryland,” Maggie said in a statement. “I am looking forward to continuing my collaboration with everyone at Comcast SportsNet in this coming year.”

Yep—the promo was so popular, it’s being repackaged for the 2014 NFL season.
