Maddie & Tae’s “Girl in a Country Song” Video Reverses Roles for Guys

The cheeky sendup of bro-country makes the bros do some shaking in the backwoods.

You don’t have to listen too terribly hard to realize that Maddie & Tae’s rapidly rising single, “Girl in a Country Song,” is poking a little good-natured fun at the recurring themes of hot girls, trucks, bare feet and cutoff shorts in so-called bro-country songs.

Now the ladies, Maddie Marlow and Tae Dye, have released a hilarious new video to reinforce the message that if it’s good enough for the girls, then it’s good enough for the guys. Nice job, ladies!
