Luke’s “Drunk on You” Is High on Charts in Summertime

“We could see a lot of people participating and doing the ‘boom booms,’” Luke says.

And what's more gratifying than seeing fans do the boom booms? Nothing, according to Luke Bryan, who is celebrating his fifth No. 1 country song, "Drunk on You," which contains the aforementioned boom booms.

"From the time that we released Tailgates & Tanlines and we were doing 'Drunk on You' live, we could really see a lot of people participating and doing the 'boom booms' and singing along," Luke tells reporters.

It's no accident that the song peaked at the start of the summer.

"'Drunk on You' was the song on the album that we really felt like it was the cornerstone of the album," Luke said. "We were just making sure that we wanted to pick the right singles to get to the summertime and get to 'Drunk on You.'"
