Luke Worries He Might Have Been Impulsive With Tour Name

“Even last night, I was laying in bed. I was like, ‘I hope I haven’t rushed this thing,’” he says

Luke Bryan is a rebel, y'all!

Usually, country stars name their tours after the titles of big successful albums or smash radio hits. There's Carrie Underwood's Blown Away Tour, or Brad Paisley's American Saturday Night Tour.

Luke named his new trek the Dirt Road Diaries Tour after a song he wrote that day. And the song isn't even on an album yet.

"When I write a song, I'm the last person to typically like it, and I love doing that, because if six months down the road, if I don't like the song, then I know that it's not for the record," Luke told reporters recently.

"But we wrote 'Dirt Road Diary,' and then we named the tour Dirt Road Diaries all in a day. Even last night I was laying in bed. I was like, 'I hope I haven't rushed this thing.'"

Luke takes some comfort in knowing fans like the song live in concert, and an online video of a performance of the song is getting more and more views.

"People are telling me it's really doing real well virally, and so that tells me that there's something there that's certainly good enough to have named a tour and good enough to put on the—we don't know if it will be on the album yet. I guess it kinda has to be now."

Guess so.
