Luke Bryan to Play Before College Football Championship

Here's yet another sign that Luke Bryan's career is blowing up—he's set to be a part of the BCS National Championship Game.

Luke will be in Miami Jan. 7 when Alabama and Notre Dame slug it out on ESPN to determine who's the best college football team of 2012. Luke will play the pre-game show outside Sun Life Stadium, just 10 days before he launches his first-ever headlining tour.

But this gig might be a tough pill for Luke to swallow. You see, he grew up in Georgia, and Alabama just slipped by the Georgia Bulldogs to get into that national championship game.

Clearly, the guy's a good sport.

Luke's also one of several country artists with college football bowl game duties: Jake Owen will be playing halftime at the Orange Bowl on Jan. 1, and Lee Brice is the halftime headliner at the Sun Bowl on Dec. 31 in El Paso, Texas.
