Luke Bryan Has a Peach Picker Party to Celebrate No. 1

He celebrates with Ben Hayslip, Dallas Davidson and Rhett Akins.

Luke Bryan feels right at home with co-writers—and fellow Georgia boys—Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson and Ben Hayslip, better known around Music City as the Peach Pickers. The foursome celebrated Luke's latest No. 1 single, "I Don't Want This Night to End,"  Monday afternoon (March 5).

"What's great about being associated with these guys is the fun that they have," Luke told an industry crowd at Nashville restaurant Cabana. "It is special to be around you guys."

Luke's label, Capitol Nashville, gave all four songwriters red "No. 1" foam fingers, along with the more formal plaques and awards they received from BMI, ASCAP and other industry organizations to commemorate the song's success. Luke thanked his wife, Caroline, for "letting me run around and do this.

"You get in there and joke around and you nonchalantly write. It's never work with them," Luke said of writing with the Peach Pickers. "When you take three guys that literally grew up within an hour and twenty minutes from each other, sometimes we can know what the others are thinking," he told reporters prior to the celebration. "It's never work with them."

Luke, Dallas, Rhett and Ben also penned "Suntan City" from Luke's upcoming Spring Break 4 album, which will be released March 6. Dallas and Luke co-wrote Luke's hits "Country Girl (Shake It for Me)" and "Rain Is a Good Thing."
