Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton and Taylor Swift are among the stars announced as finalists for the 2014 Billboard Music Awards. The awards are based on album and digital singles sales, radio airplay, touring, social interactions and other factors, compiled by Billboard magazine.

Luke crossed over into general categories such as Top Male Artist, where he stands as the sole country nominee. Luke is also the only country act to land in the Top Billboard 200 Album category, and he’s up twice for Top Country Song. Categories featuring country artists are listed below. Pop stars such as Katy Perry, Lorde and Justin Timberlake, along with rock group Imagine Dragons, lead the overall finalists.

To find out the winners, tune in to the 2014 Billboard Music Awards TV special, airing live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Sunday, May 18, on ABC at 8 p.m. ET.
