Love and Theft Dish on Life With Babies
Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson have swapped late-night partying for spending quiet time at home with their babies.
My how the times have changed for Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson of Love and Theft. These days when they are home from the road, they have swapped late-night partying to spending quiet time at home with their beautiful babies.
Stephen and fiancée Jenna are new to the parenting, as son Jett was born in December, but Eric and wife Emily have been pros since last March when they welcomed son Camden.
Since the two boys have already taken on a lot of their fathers' characteristics, including bonding with each other. “Camden’s his best friend,” Stephen tells Country Weekly of his son’s relationship with Camden. “Camden is really funny with him, because he is a lot older. He’ll put his hand on his head and hold it there. Jett just looks at him like, ‘Wow . . . that guy’s so mature! He can control his hands!’ Jett just started being able to control his hands, so it’s been cool to watch him realize, ‘Wow . . . I can do this! I can tell my hand to go there.’”
As far as any musical signs for their futures, it is still a bit too early to tell. However, Camden might have his singing debut on the forthcoming Love and Theft project slated for release later this year!
“On one song on this album, Camden was in the room, and he screams at the end of the whoa whoa whoas,” says Eric, laughing. “Our producer Josh Leo looped it, so he's in there!”
