With Valentine’s Day upon us, we asked some of country’s hottest stars, “What are you doing for your special someone this holiday?”

Rascal Flatts

Joe Don Rooney: I like to buy flowers.

Jay DeMarcus: My wife doesn’t like flowers, oddly enough. It’s weird. But she loves dinner. And she loves for me to cook for her, which I love to do.

Gary LeVox: I do dinner and flowers. But you just run out of daggone things. There’s nothing new!

It’s my grandpa Ken’s birthday, so if we’re in Nashville, we’ll have a Valentine’s Day party and birthday party for Grandpa. But I don’t know where I’m going to be; I’ll probably have a show!

My birthday is on February 5 and Valentine’s Day always pales in comparison to my birthday. It always puts undue pressure to have this perfect date night or something. I do love the Valentine’s Day aspect for the kids because they all have to take their valentines in for school. That part of it is fun.

I always try to do something to get on [my wife Kate’s] good side, but I usually forget. I’m so awful at presents and all that stuff. We usually just try to go out to eat. We don’t have the opportunity to do that very often with the girls. We are actually on the road this Valentine’s Day, but I think she and the girls are going to be with me. I guess we won’t be going out to eat—we’ll be eating catering!

Little Big Town

Kimberly Schlapman: We have a show with George Strait that night this year. What better way for us to celebrate Valentine’s Day than with George!

Karen Fairchild: The road has to dictate what our Valentine’s Days are like. Sometimes it ends up being a Valentine’s lunch.

When’s Valentine’s Day?

On that note . . . happy Valentine’s Day!
