Loretta to Receive Special Grammy

Loretta Lynn has been announced as one of the recipients of a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

The country legend joins Michael Jackson, pop singer Bobby Darin, classical musician and composer Andre Previn and others in receiving the honor, which will be presented on Saturday, Jan. 30. The new honorees will also be acknowledged on the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards telecast, Sunday, Jan. 31, on CBS-TV at 8 p.m. ET. A Lifetime Achievement Award is given to artists who have made significant contributions to the field of music. Other country artists who have received the award include Roy Acuff and Kitty Wells.
