Loretta Lynn Sidelined Again

She’ll undergo knee reconstruction surgery.

Loretta Lynn has once again been forced to cancel tour dates due to health issues.

The iconic entertainer will undergo knee reconstruction surgery and her physician has ordered her to allow time for a full recovery. “I’m sad to have to cancel any shows for my fans, but they tell me I’ve just got to stay off this knee for a while,” Loretta said in a prepared statement.

Current plans are for Loretta to resume performing at a Sept. 3 show at her ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tenn.

Loretta recently returned to the Grand Ole Opry for a July 30 performance, but was sidelined in early July by dehydration and heat exhaustion. In March she canceled dates after surgery to repair torn cartilage in her right knee. At press time it was unclear whether the latest surgery would be done on her right knee or her left.
