Loretta Lynn Injured, Cancels Weekend Shows

Suffers broken ribs in fall.

Singer Loretta Lynn has been forced to cancel her shows in Oklahoma, due to an injury she sustained at home before Labor Day.

"I'm like an accident waiting to happen these days," she wrote in a Facebook post, explaining that her guitar had fallen from her closet and hit her, knocking her into a dresser. "Didn’t know how bad I hurt myself until the next day. Come to find out I had broken two of my ribs."

The shows were originally scheduled for Friday, Sept. 6, at Choctaw Casino Hotel in Pocola, Okla., and Saturday, Sept. 7, at Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, Okla. Loretta's update says the dates will be rescheduled soon.

"I just hope everyone comes back to see me in OK," wrote Loretta.
