Loretta Lynn At Home and Resting After Pneumonia Diagnosis

She had to cancel shows in Ashland, Ky., and Durham, N.C.

Loretta Lynn is home and resting after being hospitalized for pneumonia over the weekend. She was forced to cancel concerts in Ashland, Ky., and in Durham, N.C., due to the illness.

“Around 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning [Oct. 22], Loretta awoke on her tour bus complaining that she was having a hard time breathing,” according to a rep's statement on Loretta's website.

The 76-year-old was taken to a hospital in Bowling Green, Ky., and diagnosed as being in the early stages of bacterial pneumonia. Loretta was later sent home to her Hurricane Mills residence in Tennessee. “It was one scary night . . . But I am feeling better and just gonna take it easy for a couple of weeks," Loretta said in a statement. The country legend is scheduled to perform Nov. 3 in Knoxville, Tenn.
