Loretta Hits Country Radio Today

Lynn, Loretta (Green Dress)

It might have been a minute since you heard Loretta Lynn’s voice on a contemporary country radio station.

But record label Columbia Nashville hopes you’ll hear her again today, as the Loretta classic “Coal Miner’s Daughter”—re-done with Miranda Lambert and Sheryl Crow—is sent to radio today (Sept. 14).

The song is from the upcoming Coal Miner’s Daughter: A Tribute to Loretta Lynn album.

The track list has just been released, and Reba McEntire, Alan Jackson, Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride contribute tracks.

But ya might here some punk/rock sounds on there too.

Kid Rock sings “I Know How,” pop-punksters Paramore do “You Ain’t Woman Enough (to Take My Man)” and the White Stripes do “Rated X.”

You can buy the first single starting Sept. 28 and the album on Nov. 9, and can listen to the single below.
