Lizzie Sider Rocks the Wildhorse Saloon

Country Weekly staffers got a sneak peek of a hot new talent when 15-year-old Lizzie Sider stopped by the C-dub offices with her mandolin and fiddle player, Scott “Skittle” Johnson, to sing a few songs last Thursday (June 6).

But on Friday, Lizzie wowed the crowd at Nashville’s Wildhorse Saloon when she and her full band took the stage to perform an hour-and-a-half set of impressive original tunes and polished covers. Adeptly swinging from guitar to piano to just the microphone, the energetic teen dazzled the packed dance hall with a setlist that included her own take on Marvin Gaye’s “I Heard It Through the Grapevine” and her own single “I Love You That Much.”

Despite her young age, Lizzie already exhibits the poise of a seasoned entertainer. Well-written but youthful original tunes, reminiscent of early Taylor Swift, also show great promise, but her biggest asset is the confidence and energy with which she moves around the stage.

Put her on your radar, folks!
