Little Big Town and Trisha Yearwood Nab Emmy Awards

Country stars earn top honors for daytime television work.

Congratulations go out to Little Big Town and Trisha Yearwood, who are adding new trophies to their mantels. Each of the country talents earned Emmys at last night’s (June 16) Daytime Emmy Awards.

Little Big Town took home the Outstanding Original Song win for “Good Afternoon," the theme song for ABC’s Good Afternoon America.

And in the Outstanding Culinary Program, Trisha’s Food Network show, Trisha’s Southern Kitchen, tied with the Food Network’s Best Thing I Ever Ate.

Following the announcement of their wins, both acts took to Twitter to share their excitement.
