Lionel Richie Bows Out of ABC Duets Show

So now the four mentors will be Jennifer Nettles, Kelly Clarkson, Robin Thicke and John Legend.

Lionel Richie, who has topped the country album charts this spring, is dropping out of ABC singing competition show Duets before it even starts.

Lionel's publicist cited "personal scheduling conflicts," but the network has found a Legend to replace him—R&B singer John Legend will replace Lionel.

John joins Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland, Kelly Clarkson and Robin Thicke as mentors.

But there's still no air date yet, just word that it'll start sometime this summer.

The show has the stars looking for two new talents each to eventually sing with them live on television.
