Lee Ann’s Impression of First Lady: She’s Tall!

Country singer is sole performer at the First Lady's Luncheon, held for spouses of Washington power brokers.

Spouses for Congress, the Supreme Court, the vice president and the Cabinet all gathered to honor Michelle Obama Wednesday (May 9) in Washington.
 
And Lee Ann Womack was there to entertain for the event, the First Lady's Luncheon, at the request of Texas congressman Gene Green’s wife.
 
“As a Texan, as a woman, as an American, as a mom, you have to say yes,” says Lee Ann, a native of Jacksonville, Texas.
 
Lee Ann got to meet the first lady. Impressions?
 
“For all the demands of that life, she’s pretty Zen,” Lee Ann said. “But, really, more than anything . . . she sure is taaaaaall!”
