LEANN RIMES SIDELINED BY THROAT INJURY

Nashville Star host LeAnn Rimes will miss hosting this week's episode due to a broken blood vessel in one of her vocal cords. In addition, she's had to postpone several other personal appearances and performances dates. The broken blood vessel is the result of a severe case of viral bronchitis. LeAnn's doctors expect a speedy recovery. Sara Evans will fill in as host tomorrow, Tuesday, April 12. Nashville Star airs live on the USA Network every Tuesday at 10 p.m. Eastern. "I am so sorry I cannot host Nashville Star this week," said LeAnn. "The contestants have become like family to me, and I can't wait to get back to the show. Sara Evans is an amazing talent, and she will do a wonderful job hosting the show in my absence."
