LEANN RIMES TO HOST "NASHVILLE STAR"

If anyone knows about being a star, it's LeAnn Rimes. Now she's going to spread her stardust all over the third season of "Nashville Star" as the show's new host. Last year LeAnn performed as a special guest on the season finale. As host, she takes over for Nancy O'Dell, whose duties as host of "Access Hollywood" prevented her from taking on "Nashville Star" for a third year. "As a singer and songwriter, I have great admiration for many of the budding stars who come to try their hand at performing," said LeAnn, "and I can relate to the hopes and aspirations of all the contestants, no matter how good or bad. 'Nashville Star' is great TV - it has drama, humor, sadness, fun and great music. I am really excited to host the show and of course, I have big shoes to fill with Nancy's departure."
