Is LeAnn Rimes Heading to TV’s X Factor?

No comment from show creator Simon Cowell or the production company yet on who new judges will be.

NBC seems to have done well by adding a little twang in the form of Blake Shelton to its singing competition, The Voice.

Might Simon Cowell follow that dirt road on his show, The X Factor? Sources are telling ew.com that LeAnn Rimes is now in the running to be one of the two new judges on that show.

Those same sources say LeAnn has gone so far as to meet with The X Factor's production company to replace one of the two fired judges, Paula Abdul and Nicole Sherzinger. (Simon and L.A. Reid will remain as the guy judges.)

No comment from LeAnn's camp or from show producers. Simon says he's actually going to keep his mouth shut about new judges while his old show, American Idol, and NBC's new show, The Voice, slug it out this season.

Other females rumored to be up for the judge job at X Factor include Britney Spears and Janet Jackson.
