LeANN TO HOST ACMs
Despite her recent public troubles, LeAnn Rimes will wear a smile as she hosts this year's Academy of Country Music Awards on May 9.
"We are delighted to have LeAnn Rimes as our host for this year's show," ACM director Fran Boyd said in a statement. "She has proven herself to be an impressive and enduring performer in country music."
Producer Dick Clark apparently agrees -- he believes that the 18-year-old will bring a whole new audience to the telecast.
