LBT’s Kimberly Launches a Cooking Show Saturday

“When I was growing up, I used to pretend that I had my own cooking show,” she says

Lobster casserole and apple crisp . . . Mmmmm. . . .

Kimberly Schlapman of Little Big Town hooks bandmate Karen Fairchild into helping prepare that meal on the opening episode of Kimberly's Simply Southern, a new series premiering Saturday (Sept. 22) at 1 p.m. ET on GAC.

Other guests include Kimberly's daughter, Daisy Pearl, and singers Lauren Alaina, Laura Bell Bundy and Holly Williams.

"When I was growing up, I used to pretend that I had my own cooking show," she tells CountryWeekly.com. "I would demonstrate what you needed to cook and the ingredients and all that stuff. I'm not a professional chef by any means, but I do love to cook. I never dreamed this would actually come true."

The entire band is part of the show snippet that GAC put up online. So far, 13 episodes have been made, baked, boiled, broiled, uh, prepared.
