LBT’s Karen Fairchild Buys Herself No. 1 Present—a Little Early

“Pontoon” is the first No. 1 ever for Little Big Town, but Karen started her retail party when it was No. 3.

If you see Little Big Town's Karen Fairchild around Nashville with a new expensive handbag, know that's her treat to celebrate “Pontoon” going No. 1. That's quite an accomplishment since “Pontoon” is the group's first No. 1 and LBT has been around for about 13 years.

“I feel obligated to buy a No. 1 present for myself,” Karen told reporters.

“There was only one left in the store,” she said, “and I felt like it deserved a home.”

“But you bought it when it was No. 3!” Kimberly said.

“It’s positive shopping,” Karen replied.

Her bandmates suspect that the shopping spree isn’t over.

“We all know Karen,” Kimberly says, “and we all know she’s going to buy another No. 1 present now that it’s actually at No. 1.”
