Lady A Fans Donate $915 to Charity for Charles’ Birthday

“Thanks to all who donated to St. Jude as a gift to me,” Charles tweets. “means a lot.”

Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum celebrated a birthday Tuesday (Sept. 11), but he wanted the presents to go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The band set up a fundraiser page online for friends and fans to make donations.

As of early Wednesday morning, more than 30 fans had donated a total of $915.

Charles is grateful.

"Thanks to all who donated to St. Jude as a gift to me. means a lot," he tweeted.

The fundraiser page will stay up for a few days in case fans want to keep making donations.
