Some folks roast turkeys, others bake 'em, and still others, like Tracy Lawrence, love to deep-fry the holiday birds.

Charles Kelley of Lady Antebellum is going to whip his turkey into a Big Green Egg. That happens to be a green ceramic charcoal cooker, a present bandmate Hillary Scott got him for a recent birthday.

Charles is so psyched to try it out that he's going to take over turkey duties from his wife, Cassie.

"I'm gonna try it on the Green Egg," Charles declared to ABC News Radio.

"I'm kind of getting into it. So I'm going to give it a shot," he said. "I'll have to go online and do some research, make sure I don't mess it up."

Dave Haywood has a suggestion: "Do a test turkey."

Mmmmmm. Pre-Thanksgiving feast.
