Hillary Scott: “Our hearts are about to burst we’re just so thankful.”

You may recall that back in 2013, Lady Antebellum had a hot new single out with “Downtown,” and the trio’s fourth album, Golden, appeared shortly after. Conventional wisdom dictates that a tour would be next, but instead the group paused. Partially because member Hillary Scott gave birth to her daughter, Eisele, but also because they needed a break.

“We’d been going for seven years and we just needed to take a breath,” says Hillary, marveling at the group’s journey to stardom with the smash “Need You Now” and beyond. Currently, the trio of Hillary, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood is on the massive Take Me Downtown Tour with friends Kip Moore and Kacey Musgraves, selling out arenas like Boston’s TD Garden and scheduled through the summer.

So it sounds like the wait was worth it, right?

“Our hearts are about to burst we’re just so thankful, and we’re so appreciative to the fans for sticking with us through all this time and continuing on this journey with us and filling up these venues night after night,” says Hillary. “There’s a lot of other places they could be going to be entertained or to enjoy themselves and the fact that they’re choosing us is truly humbling and we appreciate it so much.”
