Ladies Rule At CMT Awards

Taylor Swift and Kellie Pickler were the big winners at the fan-voted 2008 CMT Music Awards, April 14, at the Curb Event Center in Nashville.

Taylor won the night’s top trophy, Video of the Year, for “Our Song,” also named Female Video of the Year. Kellie’s three wins came for her emotion-filled single “I Wonder,” USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of the Year, Performance of the Year and Tearjerker Video of the Year. The show telecast featured performances by co-hosts Billy Ray and Miley Cyrus, Toby Keith, Alan Jackson and many others. More than 4 million votes were cast for this year’s awards.
