Kristofferson Tribute Planned for CMT Awards

Keith Urban, Gretchen Wilson, Willie Nelson and more will take part in a tribute to Kris Kristofferson on the 2007 CMT Music Awards, April 16, on CMT at 8 p.m. ET.

Kris will receive the Johnny Cash Visionary Award during the telecast from the Curb Event Center in Nashville. The award recognizes an artist’s musical vision, groundbreaking music videos and pioneering initiatives. Rosanne Cash, Johnny’s daughter, will present the award to Kris. Also appearing in the tribute are actors Russell Crowe and Luke Wilson, along with Oscar-winning film director Martin Scorsese.
