Secret revealed: Broadway/TV star Kristin Chenoweth (Wicked, The West Wing, Pushing Daisies) started her entertainment career singing country music covers at a now-closed Nashville theme park.

“It was the most fun I’ve ever had in my life,” said Kristin, who co-hosted Saturday night’s LP Field performances at CMA Music Festival.

As a young 20-something, the pretty pint-sized Okie traveled to Opryland theme park, where she loved her gig so much that she never wanted to leave. In fact, her father made her, driving to Nashville after the summer season was over to take her back to college in Oklahoma City. “I’m glad he did that, but I went kicking and screaming,” Kristin told reporters.

She’s putting out an album in September, about the same time that her new TV series, ABC’s Good Christian Belles, launches.
